Originally from Piedmont, WV, Chris previously worked for Bausch and Lomb in Oakland and Scarpelli Funeral Home in Cumberland. Sherri moved to Western Maryland in the early 90's after graduating from college and practiced as a Speech Pathologist in Dennett Road Manor and the former Cuppett and Weeks Nursing Home among other locations. After getting married in Oakland, Chris and Sherri relocated to Pennsylvania in 1998 so that he could finish his mortuary science schooling at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. After obtaining his degree the couple stayed in Pennsylvania, where they started a family and Chris worked for and eventually became a managing partner in a successful funeral home in West Newton. Although Chris, his wife Sherri and their two daughters, Jocelyn and Sara, very much enjoyed living and working in Pennsylvania, they had always wanted to come back to Garrett County.
All raised in Garrett County or close-by West Virginia, our pleasant and courteous staff will go out of their way to provide assistance to the families we serve.
